Julia Hinkle Penn, M.D.
Dr. Penn is a board certified, general psychiatrist with over 30 years of clinical experience in her field. She is a past 10-year faculty member of the Medical College of Wisconsin Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences, where she specialized in the interface between mind and body and taught doctors-in-training of all medical/surgical specialties. Although she practiced general medicine for three years following her internship, she ultimately chose to pursue the specialty of psychiatry, believing it is the medical specialty which truly treats the whole body and spirit. She offers her patients comprehensive, biopsychosocial assessment and individualized treatment with expertise in psychopharmacology. Her caring treatment approach applies psychotherapy tailored to the patient, along with expert medication management when indicated. She treats adult women and men through geriatric years, as well as older adolescents. Dr. Penn accepts private-pay and out-of-network insurance coverage. She does not accept Medicare payment.
